Hedge funds have traditionally kept a low profile and have shunned—or been wary of—social media. But ever since congress passed the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, hedge fund managers have been looking for the best ways to strategically advertise and promote their wares to investors.
This paper provides an overview of the main social media outlets; provides tips for managers who choose to navigate these sites; and lays out a best practices framework for developing a comprehensive social media policy.
